Ooooops. Waited tooooo long. This one was tart and fruit juicy at the same time. I littel like watered down port. It still 3/4 full on the counter. I moved on to something drinkable. I remember liking this when it was young.

One of the few purchases made from the late-lamented Garde Manger in La Grange (a thoughtful if small wine shop). Upon tasting I thought Tempranillo (remind me never to enter those competitions), but in fact it is Garnacha. Oh well. But it is more refined, more oak perhaps, than the typical fruit-forward cherry-happy things one tends to get these days. More backbone, more grip. At the price a good buy. As well as goodbye.

Slightly complex, old world style, medium fruit intensity - strawberries, cherries, and raspberries. No flaws. Nose - organic, french oak. Taste - dry, low acids and tannins. Medium finish (15-30 sec.). Visual - highly opaque, purple-garnet, a little rim variation, and no sediment.

Popped n poured. Purple color, pruney nose, raiseny palate. Maybe oxidized but is still quite drinkable Day two was more port-like without the sweetness

maybe my bottle was defective, but definitely a metallic nose, unappealing; taste was also metallic with hints of paint thinner. not my style
