  Opaque ruby the nose is all sweet oak, baking spices, dark chocolate complexed with underbrush/dry twigs, autumn leaves and wild forest berries.
  Intense on the nose, the entry is full-bodied, sweetly fruited, and focussed with smooth, ripe tannins and filigree tannins. The flavours are liquorice, mint, liquor-filled chocolates, stewed black plum and marinated Bing cherries. A cola tonic element coming through suggests some evolution at 8 years old.
  A cocoa powder texture, plenty of fruit to fill out the mid-palate, good depth of flavour and plenty of spicy oak and oak shaving going on. A smart wine, the tannins are sweet and dense, and this big, powerful, ambitious wine manages to stay on track and be very approachable.
  Long length supported by lively acidity. As the wine opened in the decanter, the fruits became richer and compote like with mocha, expresso joining the party!
