  • Pulled from vinotemp & popped & poured into Riedel wineline chablis glasses. At first, big stinky nose which quickly blew off to reveal big somewhat deep nose of caramel, vanilla, minerals/rocks and walnut nut meat. Light bodied fruit. Clean and smooth. Citrus and minerals in the mouth with a hint of tropical fruit. Very clean medium length finish which also showed citrus and minerals. Very good purity and very good acid with some complexity. Gained complexity over the 45 minutes it took the two of us to polish it off. Very easy to drink. Could probably go longer but very good now. In the classic Burgundy style.

(Méo-Camuzet Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Clos St. Philibert) Although still a young colour and with aromatics to match, there are two things in the glass - acidity and sweetness - but they are totally separate entities and seem to be heading of in separate directions - I would drink these up.

(Méo-Camuzet Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Clos St. Philibert) Just a little lighter in colour than 2001. The nose is pleasing if a little subdued - eventually coming through with the (now) characteristic mix of melon and honey. Fatter than the previous wines but with a lovely, mouth-watering acidity and good length. Another good wine.
