Pale yellow. Thick fruit nose with barrel aging hints. Ripe towards soft pear flavours and some beeswax, but with good balancing acidity. Long finish where the oak returns.

First wine tasted at Boekenhoutskloof Winery and first white wine. This vintage is made up of over 92% Semillon and the rest Muscat d’Alexandrie. Aged for 14 months in new French oak. The fruit for this wine comes from one of the oldest vineyards planted in South Africa, 1902, as well as from some additional vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley planted in 1936 and 1942.
Light golden yellow in appearance. Definite oak influence on the nose with some honeysuckle and stone fruits. Medium acidity (6.5/10) with great structure and a medium body. Very fresh on the palate with notes of tropical and stone fruits. Long finish. Drink till 2025.
