  • Cinammon oak, lemon and limestone on the nose - I was surpised by how much oak initially was on the nose. Viscous honey sweetness, laser precise pears and peach notes very nicely balanced with some strong limestone minerality on the palate. Absolutely no signs of being a 7 year old bottle. Many more good years left.

    (Scherrer Winery Chardonnay Helfer Vineyard) Light lemon yellow color; lovely lemon, lemon chiffon, vanilla nose; tasty, poised, ripe and tart lemon palate, very youthful at 8 years, with balance, good acidity; medium finish 92+ pts.
