Decanted for 45 minutes before first tasting. Very dark and inky. Big tannins and weight, but initially remained a little closed. After two more hours of air, fruit and depth really filled in. This turned into one of the best petite sirahs that I've had in several years.

Deep dark inky black. Powerful and chewy body that slaps you in the mouth with bold flavors of cassis and wild small berries. Tasted more like its powerful brother Helmut of Mambrino at this stage considering this is Quixote white label. Drank sans food but this wine desires a big fatty ribeye or similar to compete with.

Bluedog’s note hits nail on the head. Best Petite Sarah I have tasted. One of my top wines of the year. So much flavor, so much balance. Gave it couple hours of air prior to drinking.

Oh ok! This is the stuff. Saturating, soft and pliable mouthfeel coats the tongue with dense, dark black fruits - blackberry jam, blackcurrant, chewy chocolate caramel, and sweet tobacco. Polished tannins, loads of fruit up front, and a finish that doesn't quit. Lovely, lovely wine.

Surprising mellow given it’s relatively short bottle age. Drinking really well now. Tasted via Coravin alongside the 2012 and this was mikes better. Will let the rest of my bottles sit at least another 2 years.
