Dark like a black hole. Blueberry, baking spices, and oak nose. Medium to full bodied, blackberry pie, fennel, pepper, black cherries, solid but well integrated tannins, smoke, dark chocolate, and a long dry finish with some blue fruit at the end. The longer it was open, the better it got.

This wine requires at least two hours in the decanter at this point and became softly palate coating and rich as the evening progressed. Rich, ripe fruit with just a touch of funk and firm tannic grip on the finish. Outstanding.
