Nice nose displaying plenty of blackcurrant and cherry, cigar box, leather, pencil shavings and some oak spices. Nice freshness on the palate, plenty of acidity, slightly drying tannins that bring a nice chewiness to the fray and a decent finish.

PNP. Took about an hour to open up. Subtle nose of flowers. Cherry, blackcurrant, dusty leather and cigar box. Really nice balance between lively fruit, slightly grippy tannins and fresh acidity. Sweet tobacco on the long finish. Delightful.

Excellent - vibrant red cherry and blackcurrant with plenty of St Julien spice and character. Good follow-through of blackberry with hints of yeast and leather and a fine, elegant finish. CC standard for a fraction of the price.

Colour is a dusty garnet, dullish in nature. Aromas showing typical aged Bordeaux notes ... some graphite, licorice, cassis, earthiness. Very subtle notes. Overall a soft supple wine, elegant. Smooth and easy drinking with a medium length finish. Typical medoc style. Tannins are dusty and drying but mellowing out. Still getting dark berries and cassis. A real nice wine. I like this. So smooth and tasty with medium acidity, and a juicy cassis mouthfeel.
