  ZAP:STORIES FROM SONOMA COUNTY. Nose of rich, black cherry fruit, hint of black berry and allspice, same on the palate, big body, tasty, needs two years to peak drinking, made from their 10 best barrels of Zinfandel, rich tasting today, $55 retail and maybe worth it, long finish.

  Rich, jammy and super exctracted style, almost like zinfandel concentrate. Not very complex. Alcohol is balanced, the wine wasn't hot. It was more balanced with bbq spareribs but not really enough acid for the food. A bit too ripe for me. I'm not sure it had the tannic structure or acidity for ageing. We'll see - I plan to let the other bottle sit.
