Rich, jammy and super exctracted style, almost like zinfandel concentrate. Not very complex. Alcohol is balanced, the wine wasn't hot. It was more balanced with bbq spareribs but not really enough acid for the food. A bit too ripe for me. I'm not sure it had the tannic structure or acidity for ageing. We'll see - I plan to let the other bottle sit.
