  • Rich lemon gold. Lovely development on the nose, with heavy metals and light petrol, canned pit fruits such as yellow peach and pineapple, also candied citrus, and a few drops of nut oils (=slow, balanced oxidation). Great concentration on the palate, dense and full yet not heavy, still has that fresh acidity to balance the many lingering flavours. The finish is spicy and comforting without it being disturbingly alcoholic. This is in a good spot now, but could go for another three to five.

  • Clear yellow, lovely nose of riesling, stone fruits. Not as effusive as the last bottle 4 months ago. Very balanced palate. Great acidity, long lip-smacking flavors of peach, lime, green apple. Went nicely with prosciutto ham and cheeses.
