I've had a few bottles of Pinard now, but this one in particular really impressed me and caught my attention; the nose was lovely with fresh cut grass, gooseberry, lime zest, crushed stone, and some floral notes; the palate was explosive and texturally so incredible. Felt like a high end grand cru Chablis with such concentration, energy, and minerality. The finish was really long. Incredible stuff. Too bad its so hard to find in the US.

Light gold color, bright and clear with big, slow legs. Medium intensity nose: grass and citrus with some lanolin wax. Big bodied with a very long and slick texture across the palate. Moderate intensity flavors of peach and grapefruit with fully proper Sancerre acidic bite. I would imagine this could transform out of its youthful freshness into quite a fascinating adult, some 3+ years down the line. 5+11+16+9= 91
