terrific; snappy cranberry, medium plus bodied, good balanced acidity, very new world pinot but such purity and density in fruit with a long finish made this really enjoyable.

Very good Pinot. Black cherry and plum and some forest floor. Drinking very well now and my guess would he that it would have 3+ more years at the top of its game. Enjoyable.

Decanted 30 minutes before service - no harm done, but it didn't need it, singing from the get-go. In the glass, clear ruby core with slight tinge of the auburn at the rim, but I think that's the base color in this case, not a sign of aging. On the nose, cherries, plums, and nutmeg. On the palate, a soft mouth-filling texture, with fruit balanced by baking spices and a mineral spine just shy of assertive, but it's there. I'd have to look over all of my tasting notes to confirm, but the Ryan has always been one of my favorite pinots, with aromatics, flavor profile, and texture all hitting my personal sweet spots.

Delicious ripe cherry and earthy notes on the nose and silky rich palate with a long finish.
