A unique blend of Bordeaux, Rhone, Spanish and Italian white grapes, nice food wine. Similar notes as previous bottles though a bit richer this time around. Citrus, apples, pears and floral notes. Very well balanced, nice acidity and complexity, medium bodied and a medium to long finish.

Color: light gold, almost straw Nose: ripe stone fruit, a hint of tropical fruit as well, a lot of wet stone and salty seashells. There is a honeyed note, a little hint of vanilla, and some wax Palate: this has a good medium acidity, medium-full body and high intensity. It is salty tasting, the nose is confirmed Finish: medium-long
This is an interesting wine. The aromas that poke in remind me of a white Rhone that has matured in bottle and shed the oak. The main character here though is unquestionably the Sauvignon, in a middle of the road style that i like a lot, reminds me of Friuli almost, with some obvious differences. This is a case study in blending excellent juices from the new world to move beyond the stiff categories of the old perhaps. Unquestionably, the winemaking and the fruit must have been outstanding. Ovid is now on the map, let's see if I can score some of their more prominent wines. This is at peak maturity, drink now. Slight chill or room temp will do, 45 mins of air.

Similar notes to last tasting in 2019, and a hit for our guests tonight. A unique wine, though very well balanced and nice complexity. Citrus, apples, mango, pears and floral notes. Nice acidity and a medium to long finish.

This an excellent wine! Wish I had more. Lot's of apples and citrus in this wine and from a red wine drinker I love this wine.
