Nez de fruits rouges et noir, des épices. Belle finesse en bouche, bel équilibre avec des tannins appuyés mais qui sont soyeux, frais et fin à la fois tout en étant très Bourguignon de style et belle surprise à l’aveugle.
Red fruit, some dark fruit too, some spices. Palate is all finesse, balance with good acidity and some silky tannins, very Burgundian in style, worth a Cote-de-Nuits premier cru in my opinion.

Blind, slight bricking, light body, mostly cherries, basic Pinot notes, underwhelming. Drink now. Once unveiled, we were all in disbelief that this was Littoral Roman vineyard. For $138 CAD, there is so much better out there for half the price. Major disappointment.

PnP. Medium red. Nose of red fruits touch of blood orange and perhaps floral notes. Medium weight on the palate - not as fruit driven as this wine often is with more spice integrated. More interesting but perhaps less enjoyable than the more fruit driven vintages. Long finish and good balance so my last bottle will sit for a while. Would have picked this as Sonoma Coast rather than Anderson valley.

Deep red. Floral nose with sweet herbs. Medium body. Cherry, sweet herbs and thin firm tannins in the finish. Getting close to drinkability would revisit in another 3 years

Blind pair with the Block E Wendling. More layering and darker cherry fruit here with intense spice. Plate is loaded with red berries with nice herbal complexity. Once again you get acid-driven chewiness and balance. Anderson Valley Pinot all the way. Preferred this to the Wendling -- thought it had another 1-2 years of cellaring and was more ready.
