  • I shared a bottle of this in a little place called Monte's Bistro in Estoril last week, I think it was about 18 Euros. I'm not a fan of the big hefty Portuguese reds but thought this was really delightful. Fresh, slightly spicy with a nice play of acidity and tannins...A really very pleasant surprise - no decant, and it didn't seem like it particularly needed one, so I'd question the drink dates of 2023 - 2027 as this is good to go now (not to say that it won't get better). Thankfully served at something around or a bit above cellar temperature...and only 12.5% alcohol. Very moorish and went well with both a tender Wagyu (or so they claimed on the menu) steak and squid. Must check out more wines from Bairrada and from this producer - if I can get my hands on them in the UK. An easy 90 + points, I'm maybe being ungenerous with the score...Fantastic QPR.

  • (mix of grapes, co-fermented) Basic young red. Good dark red fruit. Nice body and presence. Not terribly expressive or elaborate. Clean finish. Fine enough. Not a lot to say here.
