We opened this for a dinner party, and served after a quick double-decant. It was a delicious classic Brunello with a good balance of acids, tannins, and fruit, and some nice tobacco notes. I wish I'd bought a case of this.

Medium ruby in the glass. Subtle aromas of sour cherry, raspberry, blueberry, blackcurrant. Medium-bodied, light tannins, high acidity. Very run-of-the-mill (I wouldn’t even say Brunello) Italian wine, doesn’t really represent Tuscany that much. Nothing memorable, but overpriced as shit in the restaurant. Wow.

I did not take detailed notes, but this wine (tasted after a 4 1/2 hour decant) was a classic, delicious, full-bodied Brunello. The QPR, at $34 from WTSO, is excellent.

A WTSO special. A perfectly fleshed out Brunello. Delightful and wonderful to drink, with or without food.
Color. Red with a bit of brick.
Nose. Cherries, strawberries, bran, cinnamon, bbq meats, cardamom.
Palate. Backwards. Rich chocolately tannins. Black fruits and red plums. Yummy.
