Lovely red fruit - sour red cherries and red currant. Add to that pretty notes of flowers, tobacco and vanilla. A dry taste with medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Andrea Cortonesi really hits the bullseye with this wine. And in my humble opinion I think the 2016 vintage is just a better wine compared to the 2015 vintage. I would highly recommend people to seek out this wine.

Consistent notes. Very pretty Rossi with hints of cherry. Light to medium body. Pnp delicious right out of the gates and cool from cellar. Easy to drink!

Very primal, straightforward, easy. Clean on nose and palate, modest. Great wine for informal meals, mot cheap, not overwhelming. Restrained and calm, but tasty and medium finish.

Benvenuto Brunello 2018, Montalcino centro; 2/16/2018-2/19/2018 (Montalcino): (Benvenuto Brunello, 2018, Montalcino) Darker brick red color, clear and bright. The nose, like many 2016 Rosso wines, is already quite open. Granted, this bottle was 2nd day juice, so it had the benefit of a little extra air. That said, I really liked the aromas, skewing toward ripe>modern after a few puffs of soil - but then it whipsawed back to soil, and I was happy again. In the past (6 years ago, when the label was created), the fruit used to come from the northern part of the zone, now, the fruit comes from six different sites, virtually spanning the north to the south. I really liked the tea, and strawberry notes, but really liked the vastness of aromas . 14,0% abv., drink now thru 2027. recommended
