2nd of 6. Nice nose on this - there is no funk at all. The fruit is dark and brooding - maybe hiding a bit at this stage. The acidity maybe feels a hair low for me, but maybe it's the serving temp (cold on this one). The tannins are a bit harsh and could use more time to mellow out. I suggest holding for another few years on this.

Rubinrød klar farge.
Litt forsiktig lukt av rød frukt, jordbær.
Relativ kraftfullt anslag for å være en rød burgunder. En del eikesmak. Middels kompleks. Relativ lang.
En god vin.

Very interesting nose, but the palate leaves a bit to be desired.
Light ruby colour.
Pronounced aromas of candied strawberry, red cherry, red currant, cranberry, cinnamon, nutmeg, peat moss, violet and butterscotch.
Pronounced palate.
Medium body, high acidity, medium tannin, medium (+) finish.

Ladies and gentleman! I'm not sure even how to start. Let's start with the statement, that this €24 wine is lovely. Let's start with my pledge that I will drink more P.N. from
Burgundy. If this cheap juice is so great I can only imagine how other, more expensive wines from this region taste.( no wonder P.N. Burgundy prices went to stratosphere) Let's start with this info: located in Santenay, in the southern Côte de Beaune, Clos de Malte is a 17 acres monopole. And we all know what a monopoly means in Bourgogne.
Let's finish this review with boring, traditional tale about smell and taste. Aromas: strawberry, blueberry (?), minerals, smoke ( nice!), spice, no earth or barnyard!
Flavors: strawberry, ripe red cherry and raspberry (nice!), minerals. Taste is definitely on sweeter side of PN, but spice and firm tannins keep everything in the balance!
Elegant, classy and finesse wine!
I could say, that the wine is made by the book, but it's done with perfection. Full of harmony and every element "knows" its place in this wonderful wine drama. 😁
No, no, I'm still sober ( sharing the wine with my wife and my sister, slow sipping).
