Always a crowdpleaser. Pop and pour. Good, reliable super Tuscan with typical dark fruit, leather, forest floor, etc. Nothing fancy but most importantly does not need to be decanted for three days prior to drinking!

Blend: 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, 10% Syrah, 5% Petit Verdot from the Valdarno hills at the foot of the Pratomagno Mountains with loamy, sandy clay soil at 300 to 500 m under organic/biodynamic viticulture. Manual harvest, de-stemming and sorting. Pressed and gravity-fed into vinification tanks for ~20 days maceration and ~10 days fermenation. Malolactic in barrels. Aged in French (Allier) oak for 18+ months. 14.5% Abv. Proprietor: Salvatore Ferragamo (Yes, the fashion icon) Winemaker: Stafono Chioccioli (since 2010)
A(ccuracy)=2: Med deep ruby. Full, ripe Bordeaux blend. B(alance)=2: Fruit forward with fine structure. C(omplexity)=2: Dark berries, plum, licorice, pepper. D(epth)=2: Polished mouthfeel. Full palate and finish.

Very good, New World-styled, mid-range Super Tuscon.
