Three and a half years on, and I don’t believe that this has improved as I thought it might. Medium garnet. Cherries, earth, raisins nose with hint of pepper. No primary fruit left on the palate, earth, mushroom, game. I believe that this needs drinking up in the next year or two.

Tasting pour at the winery. Cohesive strawberryish fruit, with spice, subtle stony earthiness, and savory, mushroomy pungency. Nice general depth and complexity. Some tannic structure. Seems further cellarable but drinking pretty well now.

Quite pale but not surprising for a Pinot. Initially had quite a heavy, savoury flavour but this cleaned up quite quickly after decanting to a quite Burgundian style expression of Pinot. Nicely balanced and very moreish! Saved a couple of glasses to assess evolution on day 2. Second bottle Feb 2023, similar notes.

Medium ruby. Strawberry, floral nose Red fruits, leather, earthy, quite acid, low tannin. Medium finish. Quite enjoyable. I think it will probably improve.

Very young, showing a lot of oak. Nose of red fruits, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, some potting soil, white mushroom notes. Palate shows med+ acid, medium tannin, fairly soft in structure, ripe red fruits, juicy cherry, strawberry. Quite modern, very fruity and clean. Tasty wine, very serious effort but maybe lacking nuance?
