Great nose and a very good wine. Red fruit up front with notes of darker fruit, blackberry showing up in the mid pallette. The finish is long and the fruit is well featured but done so without being a jam ball. There is enough tannin present to hold this together, but I do not think this would age in a way to add complexity. My issue with Lokoya has always been the same and I have had quite a few, they are well made and very good but not great and are over priced for what they are. This despite the obvious fact that tasting them together is fun since you can see a good cross section of different Napa terroirs. Very good but not great.

WOW, this is a seriously good bottle of wine. Might even rate higher but was third bottle and blew past the others (Foretell, Cimarossa P,). Nose was really nice and led your palate to expect something special. Silky on the tongue and flavors bursting on several points. Found myself enjoying and not wanting to let it leave my mouth. Price point is quite high especially if my hunch is correct and these grapes are sourced from old Terra valentine vines. Yverdon. With that said, I will try to obtain future release as it was that good.

Just amazing. So much going on here. Silky versus lush. Constant changes in flavors from berries to earth. Better without food.

Lokoya/Cardinale Dinner: Beautiful young wine. What you hope for from a Napa cab.
