  • Very different (and to my palate, less good) than the 2016, which for me is par for the course for those two vintages in Napa. Nice restraint (for a Napa cab), and the notes are good—just not quite fully in balance. Cassis, tomato leaf, and cocoa.

  • This is really a wonderfull Napa Cabernet from a really tiny winery. A bit pricey at USD 100 / bottle, but really worthwhile if you can find it.

It's very full bodied, tannins are very pleasant, and acidity is present but both are in perfect equilibrium. Theres a lot of fruit and honey suckle, but they are very, very pleasant. This is NOT your typical cali fruit bomb, theres a lot of finesse in there. Oak is present but adds a light touch of vanilla and you can taste some mint.

Altough I loved drinking it yesterday I think a couple of years cellaring is advised so the strong (but pleasant) tannins softens a bit more.

Had it with a New youk strip and it was fantastic.
