Italians, Bordeaux and a few more with friends (An upscale Italian Restaurant in Cleveland): I think this was hurt a bit as it just did not match the desserts we were having which included chocolate and coffee flavors. This is brown in color. The nose is nutty with some burnt caramel (in a good way). Viscous. Slightly sweet at this point in its life. My wife said, we should have eaten dessert and sipped this to finish. She was correct. Still, a nice fun way to finish an evening.

Delish - I was worried about this bottle as it had been brown and cloudy for a number of years, but it was awesome, w a great caramel flan flavour, went superbly w the tiramisu - rich, long, yum!

An evening of Italian wines with friends (Cleveland): From a .375 with dessert. Brown in color. The nose is lovely with sweet caramel covered nuts. Kind of like the Payday candy bar without the confectionary sugar. Also a deeper burnt (in a good way) quality. Viscous. A little goes a long way. Still showing a fair amount of sweetness but also some acidity. It's a dessert in itself. Quite tasty but I would not want a lot of it.

Heeeere we go. Deep amber, thick, like 10W-30. Glue, fresh apricot nectar, spice cake, ginger, densely sweet and fulfilling with good acidity to match. Honey, minerals, candied lemon peel for days, with a lingering oxidative note in the background that builds rather than detracts. Impressive.
