Another nice wine for our latest Agelvis event. From memory as I didn't keep notes last night. Opened later in the evening so it didn't get sufficient decant time but enjoyed over 2-3 hours during and after dinner. Nose was perfumed and exquisite when the cork was first off but faded within 5 minutes and became quite muted. Emerged again later in the evening. The wine itself is a pretty classic Venge with bright, energetic fruit once the air hits it. Some cassis and may sweet tobacco?

Nearly four hour decant. Very very deep magenta color. Pecan pie (heavy on the pecan), blackberry, and mulberry on the nose. Smooth, dry palate. Soft, but present tannins on the longish finish.

Another terrific effort and showing great now. I opened an hour early. A classic cab that to me is midway between their non reserve bottling and the to kalon- not cheap so not a steal but a really nice wine

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by an astringent pucker which stays within hailing distance of the init frt as it seamlessly transitions into a LONG, BALANCED finish with an ELEGANT tangy/swtness to the few, UNOFFENSIVE, yet firming, dusty tannins. For now & through '22. My EXC, but I have to wonder 'bout the QPR -- even for this AVA. :( [Check with this vendor if interested in their pricing.]
