Very rustic. Flavors are fairly bold, with some funk. But after a bit of time in the glass (decant if you can!) the fruit starts to come forward. Black and red fruit. This is not a cocktail wine, drink it with food.

A blend of Sangiovese, Malvasia, Montepulciano and Alicante Bouschet: cherry, Tuscan acidity, touch of heat, tar, tea, black fruit, licorice, garrique, tobacco, fig, medium body, fruity finish - 91. Only € 12 on Vivino, definitely worth the money!

Upon opening, a lot of brett, heat, liquored fruits. Listen, I love me a nice earthy Super Tuscan, but the brett/burnyard/musk on this was like wine tasting inside a horse's stall. Luckily, the after an hour of air the bright, savory red fruit began to spring forward and cover some of this up. Still pretty tannic with medium+ acidity. Needs more time.

I had a bunch of 2010s, and drank through them, THEN came upon these 2014s. Drinking through them. Certainly a different wine. This one not as built for the long haul, by any stretch. But right now this wine has great energy, lovely fruit, and earth, and wood. Oh, and tannins! This has tannins to last a long time, however I don't think the fruit will last that long. I think drink now, enjoy for the next 2-4 years. Drink 'em before the 10th birthday.

From the 6 nottle lot I purchased THIS ONE (the last) was my fave. Still at this point give it some air.
