  For the first hour or so the nose was poop filled with a dash of VA, not particularly enticing. But as the poop flushes down the toilet, the smell recedes into the background, more of a sulfuric reductive note but minor as the raspberry starts to fill the glass. The palate is clean, easy to drink and has nice earthy red fruit. It's not nearly as impressive of a drink as the 83, but vintages matter I guess. Fill incredibly high and the color was beautiful.
