  • Straw colored, medium bodied, crisp notes of citrus pink grapefruit and clove spiced apples, stone fruits, white peach, crushed rocks with bright acidity on a long zesty finish.

  • Pretty much as Gary Farrell tasting notes describe with an abundance of Meyer lemon and smooth brioche after it caught some air, perfect restrained acidity and a lingering finish. While great at first and with buttermilk chicken, things fell off a bit when the food went away. Still good though!

  • Light gold year. Enticing aromas of pears, peach, yellow apples, with complex sea salt, peanut shell, hay and honeycomb. Crisp acidity frames the wine well on the palate, and there’s a pleasantly plump and juicy texture. Medium+ bodied and vibrant with creamy pear, lemon meringue and yellow apple. Notes of minerals, chalk, sea salt, and nuanced elements of almond and vanilla. Complex and harmonious, this opens up nicely and could benefit from a bit of age as well. Aged nine months in 35% new French oak, 13.4% alcohol.

  • Solid 90 right now but ONLY if you let this one breathe for about an hour. I have a feeling that a lot of these sub-90 ratings exist is because the wine isn't really ready to go just yet. And I don't think this wine is really ready to go at all. Rather unidimensional. Lime and lemon nose. Same with the palate. A hint of herbal on the finish with average acidity. This producer's white wines seems to be better than their reds without a doubt. Yet, this one doesn't really make the cut from what I know of this winery. If I had a few more of these, I'd let it sit for a few more years.
