Enjoyable with bbq, but missing some complexity and a bit simple. Smooth, no detectable heat, well-balanced, nice finish, but was hoping for something more.

Notes from day 2. Dark purple to black in color. Nose of blackberries, black plum, licorice, ash. Palate of major blackberries that are still a little tart towards the end and a little unripe blueberry, espresso and licorice, and a little tannin/oak and bakers chocolate. The finish is long and the balance is decent for such a big wine, never become OTT for me. The down fall is the complexity or lack their of. Drink or hold as I don't see this really evolving based the exposure to air between day 1 and 2. Disappointing for the price tag. 50+5+11+17+8

Has lost all its vibrancy with age and turned into port. Couldn't drink it. Massively jammy.
