Nice red from Carlisle that makes me think “subdued”. Fairly powerful nose of darker fruits leads to an actual flavor of lighter ones: cherry, raspberry, along with some pepper to keep it interesting. Decently medium finish. We have been waiting to drink a Two Acres for several years. Summary after the long wait: Very smooth with lighter tannins and a “softer” taste profile that feels subtle and sophisticated.

Rich, resolved and within its drinking window. Dark fruit and leathery

Drinking well. Bold but smooth. Mix of red and blue fruit.

Paired with a Christmas leg of lamb, this presented not overly fruity, with nice body and nose.
