  Pale yet also quite concentrated lemony yellow color. Somewhat rubbery and reductive nose with somewhat candied yet not particularly sweet aromas of gummi bears, wine gums and pear marmalade. The wine is medium-dry, somewhat full-bodied and slightly bitter on the palate with flavors of red apples, some apple peel bitterness, a little bit of sticky and slightly sweet lemon marmalade character and a hint of steely minerality. Moderately high in acidity. The finish is ripe and juicy with medium-sweet and slightly sticky flavors of citrus fruits, some chalky bitterness, a little bit of spicy character and a hint of lemon marmalade.
  
  A fairly decent but not particularly memorable Kabinett. I suspect the wine is a bit sweeter and higher in acidity than it comes across as, partly thanks to the moderate bitterness that masks some of the sweetness away and partly thanks to how acidity and residual sugar tend to cancel each other out. Overall the wine is quite balacned, but lacking the complexity and deliciousness that the best wines in the tasting showed. Of course this wine might be still just way too young and it will show better with some age - especially if the reductive qualities blow off. The wine scored a total of 3 points from 12 judges, making it overall the 12th best wine out of 50 wines. Priced according to its quality at 10,80€.
