Delicious. Definitely in a drinking window. And strange that this bottle shows so much better than one drunk only 3-4 months ago.
Full on Loire cab franc from the first sniff- powerful aromatics of petroleum and earth - akin to Cote Rotie or Cornas - then a backbone of dark fruit aromas. Fully developed fruit flavors with tart acidity, a big wine that drank easily, and paired well with roasted meat.
Sadly my last bottle of the Domaine, but now I know it's time to move on to the single Vinyard bottlings of this vintage.

Good, though the young fruit lacks the bite and expressive character of the Domaine's older vines. In time, the age of the vines, not in the bottle, will improve this cuvee. Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.

Third Coast Soif (Chicago, IL): Definitely on the leaner side of the lineup, with the green pepper quite prominent here. Not as much intensity as the other wines, but fine to drink now.

A real dirt bomb without a good balance of fruit. On day 2 it became unpleasant.
