Much "simpler" than the 2016 Stones 3 that I had the night before, which was really great.
No doubt a fine wine, and probably too early to tell, but probably the least interesting 2016 LPV I've had (of maybe 4 or 5). I would definitely wait on this at least another year or more.

Out of the entire Fairchild 2016 lineup, this was giving up the least at this point in time. The nose was a bit reticent, but showing the LPV signature blackberry, burnt embers, charcoal, violets, wet stone and super mineral driven notes. Very taut pallet and really coiled up, this has a lot of unfurling to do and if my history is any indication, this wine can be difficult to figure out when to open. Nevertheless, great structure, very seamless and totally pure, it has a great pedigree and should be quite satisfying with more time in the bottle.
