Interesting and wonder where it’s going as still young. Some density and plenty of fruit. Still quite grippy and tannic, couple of hours eases some of it but still feels fresher and lighter than perhaps it is. Slight green elements in nose and finish like a Bordeaux blend.
14.8% abv. Dark garnet purple color, light rim. Loads of red, black and blue berries, plums, good minerality, hints of initial sweetness then fades and finishes dry and juicy. Great structure, nice grainy tannins, quite long finish. Should drink well for a decade, or two.
Probably caught this in a closed phase, tons of acidity, pure fruit, presents like it will be longer lived than the 16 La Magdalena and 16 Oakville Cab.

An evening with Annie Favia-Erikson in London: Floral notes on the nose and palate. Still somewhat closed but yielded green notes, red fruit, and a spicy mineral finish. Needs a few more years. Probably the best young red of the evening.

Agree with others. Think there is still more time left to wait. The tannins still grainy and dry finish. Acid and fruit feel balanced.
