Quite green and ungiving. Perhaps in a shutdown phase but nothing special here. Even day 2 did not show much more, maybe some dark fruit came shining through but palate was quite tannic and nit much length. Maybe another 3-5 years..?

Cooler fruit profile with pretty florals, spice, tar, and balsam on the nose. Nice cooler toned Serralunga perfume. On the palate higher than average acid sense, somewhat linear and focused, but lacking the breadth of the Massolino. Different in texture and weight not better or worse. It's mid weighted and graceful. The tannins do finish a bit green, but otherwise quite good.

La Festa Barolo (NYC): Nose: Highly perfumed, with candied rose and raspberry. Palate: Dark, yet juicy cherry, with good minerality Higher acidity, which helps offset the dark, sweet fruit. Fine tannin on a lengthy finish Overall, a bit lean and sweet to me, but still enjoyable.
