  • Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. From MAG. Very precise and chiseled. Too foamy bubbles though and not super complex though. Solid rather than top.

  • (Disgorged in 2018, (Disgorged in spring of 2018, 100% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Chouilly and Oiry, dosage 6,5 gr/l)
Lovely nose showing baked bread, minerals and candied lemons in a delicious way and opening up with some ginger spicy notes a gentle creaminess covering it all with time in the glass. Smoothing lime citrus acidity on the maturing palate still focused on minerals and freshness. So lovely right now, but will reward further cellaring for sure!

  • (BYO Blind tasting)
Full and very rich nose. Toasty almost smoky. Yellow pear and coffee. Youthful with beginning development.
Fullish, rich and toasty palate. Proberly austere. Very minerally finish. Very good length and concentration. High acidity with a fresh grapefruit aroma.
In a perfect beginning drinking window.

  • Wine Lunch (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. Drank a glass plus over 45 minutes. I was very excited to open this given Chablis28's recent rave review. The last ime I had it, it was very good, but not on that level yet. That said, we'd also had a Delamotte BdB from mag about a week ago that peaked my attention, so I was all the more looking forward to this. The nose is lovely offering a mix of toast, hazelnut, cedar box, oyster shell, and orchard fruits. The palate is so elegant, classic really, earthy crustaceans, saline, toast, nutty, pear, citrus, seashore minerality, medium bodied and lifted on a lengthy finish. Loved it.

  • delicious, needed 30 mins of air, but nice notes of lemon oil, other citrus, brioche / pastry, some chalk, creamy mouthfeel, and good acidity (not a laser beam, which is fine for me). Great stuff and definitely in my window. 2nd of 7.
