No tasting notes yet, despite 10 bottles in cellars because people just saw this at Costco and bought a bottle, like I did. A young Barolo, the wine had strong tannins. So we poured the bottle in the blender and hyperdecanted it. It DID age the wine five years. It was much smoother and enjoyable. So wait until 2024 to drink this, or pour it in a blender, mix for 20 seconds, let the bubbles disappear - and drink it now.

Light-Medium garnet. Tart cherry, earth (soil and leafs) and balsamic (a little Brett funk) with cedar, rose, thyme and clay plot adding depth. Nicely integrated tannins with medium acid. On the palate this wine is medium bodied with a medium finish. A nice wine that has classic Barolo character.

Has some meat and iron of the village along with intense cherry fruit and a suggestion of menthol and sage. It is direct, cool and detailed in the mouth. There's decent flesh and a finish that is savoury and sinewy. It has nice build and perfume.

Now that is a nose. And that is Barolo. Loads of structure. That's a powerhouse.

Walk around tasting. 1/5 wines of Paolo Manzone. Very enjoyable Barolo and at this price point, a must buy actually.
