I'm ashamed to admit I drank about a 3rd of this bottle within a year of opening it. I'll try to do better in 2046

Big nose of earthen fungus. Smells clean and well made. Palate of dark fruit and mushrooms with dirt of greenhouse. Tannins that grip and build. Immensely enjoyable. Needs a steak. Madiran holds big value for $ and quality age worthy excellence.

@deanna. 60-40 Tannat-Cab franc. Properly tannic with medium plus acid. Full bodied. 14% alcohol. Rustic and a bit coarse. Somehow familiar. I dig it. Blackberries, earth, and wet leaves. Black bitter chocolate. I don’t pick up pyrazines!
