This is drinking much better than the WS rating of 85 and drink by window of 2004 would indicate. It has developed into a lovely, if light, pinot. Very balanced and full of flavor.

Nice cherry red color in the glass. The wine has a nose of strawberries, wet earth and stones, and a hint of herbs. Although on the light side, the wine displays nice cherry and strawberry flavors that feature the slight taste of wood and earth. Not an outstanding wine, but for $13 a very good value. Drink now and enjoy with pork or fresh salmon.

12/22/03 at home. A good wine, though not terribly varietal. Fragrant, kind of black cherry nose. Piquant taste, ripe and fruity, with good tannin keeping the wine in balance. 5-10-15-7-87/100

Sandra’s: Rusty ruby red--even for a 2002; musky, horse blanket, sort of light mold smell; flavors were a little off, dirt sort of masked any light berry smell/taste.***Corked in my opinion.

$12 oregon pinot that I picked up on a road trip. 13.5% alcohol. Interesting wine, a bit thin but has nice cherry and spice flavor. Does have a touch of medicinal flavor, though. Probably about 84 points. Might bode well for 2002 in oregon though as it does have some decent ripeness and shows a good fruit profile.
