A nice, yet inexpensive Oregon Pinot Noir. It has crisp acidity and lots of cherry, a touch of rhubarb, some coffee and a little basil. This wine is just starting to develop tertiary flavors, so my impression is to keep it cellared for a few more years.

Ruby color. Strawberry rhubarb pie on the nose. Red berry predominates on the palate with a little spice. Not disappointed but definitely not blown away. .

When reading other's notes I have to wonder if my bottle was flawed in some way - definitely not corked or heat afflicted. Granted this is young but if I didn't purposely look at the 2008 on the label I would have guessed this was from 2007 juice. Not objectionable, not something I would buy again considering the price and other OR offerings. Might get better with some time in the bottle but doubtful. A lame attempt when considered along with other 2008's from OR. If memory serves correct I've not bought more than one bottle of this wine since the '05 vintage.

Light to medium bodied. Notes of cherry and spice, with some nice earthiness. Good food wine.
