Needs a sold 2 hours to really open, but when it does its a fine expression of a Bordeaux blend, could have had more tannin in the mouth but overall still lively.

Dark ruby color, a good tone for its age. Modest nose with tannins and not a lot more happening on the palate. A medium bodied wine that was really good a few years back when I started drinking wines that I considered were on the medium to higher end. Today, despite the fact that it is holding up very well, it’s good , but not special.

Deep dark maroon color. Thick legs. Big, full nose showing mostly sweet berry fruit and a little warm earth. The initial palate is big and full bodied, it really coats the tongue and fills the mouth. Rich, ripe fruit emphasizing strawberries and cherries. The tannins are a little woody, there's some oak in the background but not too obtrusive. Long finish with some complexity. I'm not usually a fan of big bruiser wines, but despite the bigness of this bottle it's actually pretty well balanced. Nice.
