A crisp sauv blanc that is quite enjoyable now- I think I might prefer the Peter Michael apres midi which is also cheaper at <$65/btl or Luc morlet’s petit morlet at that same price- the asatsuyu is~$80. At this price I think I’d rather have French Bordeaux Blanc - eg Domaine de Chevalier Blanc or le petit cheval blanc or Yquem’s Ygrec-some admittedly pricier so perhaps not fair….

Nice styling like usual from Kenzo on the SB. Lots of briney mineral notes up front and under ripe grapefruit and lemon zest. Palate shows nice restraint but still a waxy note that is enjoyable and not cloying. Great stuff. I recommend grabbing a half bottle or two.

Love it! Crisp, clean, not too acidic. Our favorite Sauv Blanc.

Non-Chard Whites (under $30 and over $70) (Casa Covolo): No detailed notes, but the group was impressed with this showing. Finished 2 of 8, really tasty effort
