Earthy, stemmy and pretty much one-dimensional. Yeah, some fruit started to peek out after two hours in the glass, and the mouthfeel was excellent, but I don't get it. I know I'm SUPPOSED to get it, I HAVE to get it, but this wine is overrated. Too savory and not much else. And don't tell me I have to decant it. Who decants Pinots, especially seven-year-old ones? If I have to wait three hours to enjoy a Pinot this old (which, btw, has rarely, if ever, happened to me with an actual Burgundy, no matter the price point) then IMHO, the winemaker's doing something wrong. Even wines designed to age give you some pleasure early on.

Liked this bottle a lot less than the prior. Opened in bottle for about half the day. All bitter stem with little to no fruit. Maybe just needs time but don’t see this coming around in a big way. Still I’m impressed with the brand and the style they work in.

This wine continues to evolve very well and was better than last year. One of the best pinots one can drink!
