  • it's been a few years since my last bottle and this bottle seems to have gone over the top of the curve and is on its way down. notes of strawberry, pomegranate, and cherry, with earthy undertones. this is a light delicate wine that now seems a bit washed out to me (if barely so). there's good acidity but not enough tannins and fruit to give this wine real aging potential. the 9 to 12 day maceration/fermentation and gentle treatment of the cap may be a bit too short/gentle for this vintage or it just may be the house style here. in any event, don't hold these bottles for much longer. i love these wines when they are young. they are not over oaked and are simply lovely. not all wines are made to age well. 4 to 6 years seems to be the sweet spot on these white rose pinots. nothing wrong with that.

  • BobA's. Medium color, good aroma, spice, incense and a bit of loamy earth. Distinctive.

  • Medium red colour. Strawberries and pepper. Flavours definitely round out and linger in the mouth. Slight floral notes as well. A nice Pinot noir - it has a little more body but can be versatile with many different types of food.

  • Holy smokes this is great juice. I am a big fan of wv pinots so with plenty of context, this was superb. Aromatically awesome and flavors to match. Classic! Rarely does an appellation wine deliver with this pedigree. Well done WRE. Wish I had more.

  • Lots of spice, some earth, strawberries, and a hint of stem use. Lots of baking spice and red fruits on the palate. A nice food wine that goes down quickly. Impressive on night one and a solid value! More mushrooms and minerals on second night with less fruit. I preferred it upon opening and wouldn’t necessarily age this one more than a couple more years.
