Have been wanting to crack this open for a while now and am glad I did. This is showing beautifully right now and is an excellent showing of Red Willow fruit. Extremely enjoyable! I just wish I had more... Bravo Travis!

2 hour decant. Nose is dead-on Red Willow Cabernet, and I could smell this wine all day long. But once this passes your lips, it's a totally different animal. Much leaner on the big Cab fruit that you would expect, especially from this vineyard, and far higher acidity. Very elegant and silky mouthfeel too. This paired amazingly with dinner, but was not quite as enjoyable afterwards on it's own. Really love the Roussanne-Marsanne from Travis (it's literally one of the best white wines I've ever had) but this one is kind of a miss for me. Very happy to have tried it however, and will continue to buy Kobayashi wines. Drink now - 2031.

Pnp. Served at cellar temp. Holy shit this was firing on all cylinders! Gorgeous Fruit forward wine but not in the way that you’re thinking. An amazing freshness to the fruit in this wine. So different from anything else I have experienced. Sexy texture. Fluted Riesling bottle is freaking cool. I am in love with these kobayashi wines from Travis Allen!

Pnp. Red fruits, tart, earthy, salty. Med-long mouthwatering finish. Delicious! A Very unusual and sexy cab! With my current flavor profile, I would much rather have this style cab than the typical full bodied blackberry oak bomb. Nothing against the guy as I really respect and appreciate his descriptions but Stephen Tanzers 89 is not good enough.

great inaugural release of CS from kobayashi! tasting of a cooler climate CS in that suave dark fruits are deftly balanced against an uplifting acidity and a bit of mint and dried herbs (sage, oregano), with medium finish and polished tannins. it does taste like it has a dollop if CF on the finish. am looking forward to seeing bottle 2 in a few years. will be hard to keep my hands off of it.
