Decanted 2hr prior to dinner, but drinkable on opening, consistent with previous notes; black fruits dominate, nice acidity, tannins subdued but still holding on, JLL end date low '30s seems correct, wish I bought the bottles to get there...90 on opening, 91 w/ time and dinner

Drinking nicely, no decant needed, tannins have smoothed out, dark fruits dominate, rustic, moderate finish, delicious, 90. Great with red beans and rice, so nice

Needs decanting to smooth out, aeration for 3hr knocked the tannins down, drank over another 3hr w/ dinner of braised beef & polenta, intense dark fruit with good acidity, many years left 90-91

Châteauneuf-du-Pape with my boy!; 4/15/2024-4/17/2024 (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, France): A 2015/16 blend? Very fresh and peppery, very reminiscent of a Cotes-du-Rhone, but Julien bottles as Vin de Table rather than Cotes-du-Rhone Villages so as to not need 15% Syrah. A nice choice, this is fresh and deliciously peppery.

Found this a little anonymous. Concentrated and with a certain grainy richness, but without much identity or distinction.
