Very good, bottled with diam; started out a bit exotic with some tropical hints of pineapple and mango; opens up some with air and becomes a bit more fresh and tensile; riper and a bit of roundness, maybe lacking a touch of minerality, but becomes more elegant with air; very good with upside from here.

This takes a few minutes and a short decant to open up a little. Notes of white flowers, mint, some citrusy notes too, there is a touch of spices, but the aromatics are very subtle at this stage. It‘s medium-bodied, with medium-high acidity, there is good length. A very good but not great Puligny-Montrachet, maybe it was also struggling a little next the spectacular P. Girardin Meursault Eclat de Calcaire next to it.

Very good albeit young Puligny; and really still a very good value for the village. The nose shows lovely floral notes, ripe apple, pear, hints of peach pit; there is some oak spice notable as well. The palate is fresh and lovely on a warm evening; solid depth for village level and finishes nicely balanced. This should improve with another year or two in the cellar so I'll probably give my other bottle a bit of time. Still overall drinking well now.
