The nose was dark with savory cherry, dried florals, minerals, and balsamic spice. On the palate, I found soft, almost-creamy textures, with black fruits, milk chocolate, sweet herbals and mounting tannin. The finish was long, long, long, showing mulled dark red fruits, balsamic spices and lingering fine tannin. This is an interesting wine but not showing the qualities that I love about Freisa.

Indigena World Tour Day 1: Monferrato (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria, NYC): Another dark black color and nose of black fruit. Soft and sweet strawberries in the mouth, but has plenty of tannin and acidity under the fruit. Appealing. Ian says this is one of the best producers of Freisa.
