  • Relatively restrained, with shimmering dark red fruit on the palate with subtle hints of cola. Texturally creamy on the palate, it takes time for the tannins to assert themselves and provide some needed grip. A straightforward wine that is perhaps a bit simple, but pleasant.

  • Nose is a bit reticent, showing tart cherry and cranberry. Round red fruits palate with dry cherries, pomegranate, and loads crisp, complex acidity that's hard to describe. Acidity drives into a structured finish with long tannins, floral notes, and clay, lingering for a long time. Will likely improve.

  • Frank Murray III’s helpful note from about 2.5 years ago remains quite apt today. In addition, we will add: The perceived structure certainly remains. This bottle was not particularly friendly on nights one and two. It started to open and become more generous on the third, and indeed, the last sips were the best. We will hold remaining bottles for a few years.

  • This was opened to slox ox 3-4 hours before we drank it. Initially, showed some cinnamon and maple aroma, along with dark cherry, lightly jammy and fruit-centered. It then finished with some noticeable structure overlaid by cranberry and blackberry. I revisited the bottle the following day, and the structure remained, The fruit also exhibited the darker quality, yet the cool cranberry-like fruited finish and tension is what serves as a counterpoint. This shows for me the potential that is here, that I believe some more time will help resolve.

  • No nose. Closed. Hard to pull anything out, even with time and vigorous swirling over an hour.
Wow palate, because it was the best of the day, but obviously a two figures bottling. Not quite an oublie bottling, but try in 7.
Silky grit of tannins. Pure perfection of fruit. Great earthen cherry excellent tannins.
