Mosel trip 2022; 10/8/2022-10/9/2022: 375ml. AP0747 300g/l R.S apparently. Dark golden with bronze hints. Heaps of apricot and honey, with some hints of passion fruit, tobacco, sultana. Brown sugar, mango, and apricot flavours on the intensely fruity (rather than a nutty style) palate. Very long finish. Sufficient acid to balance the high sweetness and fruit ripeness. Not cloying. Buy.

300gr/l residual sugar. From a half-bottle. Honey, botrytis spice, tropical fruit, crushed stones. Very concentrated with much more weight than the 2016 Mandelgraben Eiswein tasted before. Great acidity on the palate, spicy, mouth-coating, still vibrant and lively. Very long. Excellent. 93-95

Tasted at the winery. Extremely dense and sweet with lots of botrytis notes. Some primary fruit notes of white peach and mango still present. Syrupy on the palate. A little too much for my taste though I can see how some people might like it.

Ripe tropical fruit, butterscotch, nectar, honey, tartata, lacks some acidity compared to f.ex 2001, outstanding quality, 94p
