Deep golden in the glass. Explosive aromas of honey, dried apricot, ripe yellow fig, orange peel, lemon juice, jasmine, honeysuckle. Bright acidity, the sweetness not becoming cloying at any moment. Long, apricoty finish. This is a wine I'd pour into my Cheerios.

Scored 100 from WA. Not al all at that level right now. For sure Sauternes and Beerenauslese are not the same, but never the less Yquem 2001, which also scored 100, is from another world compared to Markus Molitor. A good wine but it is difficult for me to see this wine developing to 100 points

Markus Molitor vintage presentation (Haus Klosterberg, Molitor estate, Wehlen): *** brief notes from tasting sip, no rating *** Glass: Josephinenhütte White Wine Only 6,5% abv. Very dense, concentrated nose with lots of ripe, exotic fruit. Clean, great fruit. Clean Botrytis. Creamy. High, well integrated ripe acidity. Very long and lingering. Already very joyful and approachable. 94-95
